The Wild Horse Gallery’s Featured Artist of the month for June is Jänna Robbins whose unique style of drawing and imagination has lead her to create several beautiful pieces now on display at the Wild Horse Gallery located at 421 N. Main St. in Guymon.
Her work ranges from fantasy to realistic illustration, utilizing both pencil and pen as a medium to express herself.
Jänna Robbins was born in Pueblo, Colo. but raised in Burlington by her grandparents, Helen and Wesley Robbins who now reside in Guymon, Okla. When she was six years old she moved to Goodwell with her mother who was studying to get her BS at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. Her mother was hired by the state government and they moved to their current residence in Miami, Okla.
Jänna was discouraged from taking many art classes growing up for her mother’s fear that criticism would discourage her from continuing to draw even though she knew Jänna was gifted.
Jänna continued to develop her craft in pencil and ink drawing and now at 20, she is studying art at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
